Spring Awakening: Gentle exercises and meditation to refresh and renew

 With the lengthening days and emerging sun, this time of year is associated with the wood element in Traditional Chinese Medicine. A time of opening and closing, when the sap rises, fresh green leaves appear and blossoms return to the trees. Inspired by the wood element, we will focus on the role of lymph, to refresh the body and clear the mind. Our powerful, relaxing practices will focus on working with energy to build inner strength, leaving you feeling refreshed and invigorated. ** Please note - all exercises are low impact and easily adapted to seated practice, Chris will show how the to incorporate the concepts into Tai Chi and Qigong or as stand alone practices ** Come and join us on May Day, also known as Beltane in the traditional Celtic calendar.

An afternoon of Qigong - - Gentle flowing exercise to move your energy

The purpose of this 2 hour workshop is simple - to get your energy charged up and flowing, smoothly and naturally and to practice as a group. Qigong (chee gung) is a practice often using gentle circular physical movements, that is designed to charge up your inner battery and release any stagnation.

Practicing as a group and having fun is a powerful and enjoyable way to revitalise yourself whilst avoiding strain and burnout.. Chris will show you what to do, and give useful information on how Qigong works, so all you have to do is bring yourself along and enjoy the experience
